Jonathon Packham lives in Far North Queensland, just north of the tourist destination Port Douglas.
He has lived in this region for nearly 18 years and loves the Tropical Climate.
It is a unique area where World Heritage Rainforest meets sandy beaches and the Great Barrier Reef.
Jonathon spent most of his adult life in the Hospitality Industry, until the birth of his son inspired him to take his part time graphic design business and turn it into a full time career. Part of his business includes taking production photographs for websites, business cards, personalised products etc and from that developed a love for photography.
Being a tourist rich area, Far North Queensland attracts people to see the Reef & Rainforest but Jonathon can see other beauty here which most take for granted. Waking up at 5am to see the cane harvesters at work, or the sun break through the clouds or the glorious mountain ranges breaking through the layer of cloud are truly beautiful sights.
The Atherton Tablelands offer another unique look at Australia.
The Milla Milla Falls, Hay bales rolled on a paddock or the Curtain Fig tree which stands 50 metres tall and spreads to 39 metres wide at the base and is over 800 years old.
Jonathon wanting to display his photographs, started looking for more creative ways.
